Ben Thanh Craven “A” – The Golden Legacy of Vietnam’s Tobacco Industry

INTRODUCTION

In Vietnam’s tobacco industry, Ben Thanh Craven “A” is a name closely associated with quality, tradition, and innovation. With over half a century of existence and growth, the factory is not only a symbol of a premium tobacco brand but also a testament to integration and sustainable development in the consumer goods sector.

Historical Formation – A Journey from Legacy to Modernity

The Craven “A” brand appeared in Vietnam during the French colonial era. By the early 1960s, the Ben Thanh tobacco factory officially began operations with the mission of producing high-end cigarettes under the Craven “A” brand. Over the decades, the factory has undergone ownership structure changes—from a state-owned enterprise to a joint venture and now a modern facility meeting international standards.

Craven “A” was once a symbol of Saigon’s elite in the 60s–70s, with cigarettes characterized by aristocratic flair, smooth flavor, and refined manufacturing processes. Through its development, the brand has maintained its core values: superior quality, exquisite design, and distinctive style.

Beyond its traditional product, Craven “A” has also developed new lines such as Craven “A” Mild and Craven “A” Menthol to meet the growing variety in consumer preferences. All products are manufactured at the Ben Thanh factory under the close supervision of experienced technical experts.

Social Activities and Sustainable Development
