CEMS
INTRODUCTION TO CONTINUOUS EMISSIONS MONITORING SYSTEM
The Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) is a product designed to measure fixed environmental indicators such as flow rate, temperature, pressure, oxygen level, total dust, SOx, NOx, and CO. The system continuously monitors industrial and environmental parameters in real time and transmits data to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DONRE).
According to Decree No. 40/2019/NĐ-CP, dated May 13, 2019, amending and supplementing several articles of the decrees detailing and guiding the implementation of the Law on Environmental Protection:
Facilities using industrial boilers with a total capacity of 20 tons of steam per hour or more (except those using only gas or DO oil), and facilities using thermal oil heaters with a total capacity of 3.5 million kcal/hour or more (except those using only gas fuel), are required to install a Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) before December 31, 2020.
